[한글 스크립트] 고난주간 셋째 날 화요일

고난 주간 셋째 날인데요. 이날은 사두개인과 바리새인의 논쟁을 말씀하셨어요. 부활에 대한 말씀을 여러 가지 예를 들어서 하셨는데, 예수님은 마지막까지 이렇게 가르치시느라고 진짜 너무 바쁘셨습니다. 마지막까지도 주님은 누구도 원망하지 않으시고, 결국 십자가 위 우편 강도에게까지 "네가 오늘 나와 함께 낙원에 있으리라" 말씀하시며 가르치셨습니다. 그런 주님을 보면서 우리도 그렇게 가야 되지 않을까 생각합니다.

예루살렘 성전을 나와서 예수님이 성전을 바라보실 때 제자들이 물었습니다. "이 성전이 너무 대단하지 않나요?" 주님은 "돌 하나도 남지 않고 무너뜨려지리라"고 하셨습니다. 제자들이 세상 끝날에는 무슨 징조가 있겠냐고 물으니, 주님은 감람산으로 올라가시며 징조에 대해 말씀하셨습니다. 처처에 기근과 난리와 지진이 있고, 여기저기서 그리스도라 칭하는 자가 나타나며, 이 모든 것 위에 복음이 전파되는 그때야 주님이 오시리라 하셨습니다.

해와 달과 별이 떨어진다는 말씀과 함께 데려감을 당하고 버려둠을 당한다는 이야기를 해 주셨습니다. 결론은 우리는 우리의 '해와 달과 별'이 떨어져야 예수님을 믿게 된다는 것입니다. 여러분의 인생에서 해와 달과 별이 떨어졌을 때 슬퍼하지 마시고, "이때가 예수 믿을 때구나"라고 생각하십시오.

하나님의 말씀을 응하게 하는 것, 다 이루어지게 하는 것은 결국 고난을 당하는 것입니다. 고난을 당하는 자는 산다는 것이 황홀합니다. 십자가 고통의 영광을 알아야 합니다. 고난을 당해야 내 자신을 우상처럼 섬기고 의지하는 마음이 꺾이기 때문입니다. 고난을 당해야 비로소 하나님을 찾고 의지합니다. 인생은 밑동 잘린 나무와 같아서, 우리는 태어나면서부터 이미 죽음을 향해 가고 있습니다. 거기다 아무리 외모, 학벌 등 세상의 수액을 부어주어도 결국은 잠깐입니다. 우리는 어려서부터 영생을 준비해야 합니다. 그러면 이 땅이 이미 지옥이 아니고 천국입니다.

고난을 통해 하나님을 만나기 때문에 고난이 하나님의 말씀을 이루는 것이고, 그래서 고난이 축복입니다. 우리는 축복에서 더 나아가 "고난은 산다는 것이 황홀한 것이다"라고 고백할 수 있어야 합니다.

고대부터 사람이 가던 길이 광야에 나 있었습니다. 예수님도 이 길을 걸어가셨을 것입니다. 저 광야 사막 같은 곳에 길이 나 있는 것을 보며, 예수님은 무슨 생각을 하고 걸어가셨을까 묵상합니다. 이제 이 땅에서의 날이 많지 않은데, 사람들은 말을 안 듣고 결국 예수님을 십자가에 못 박아 죽이는 데까지 갑니다. 창조주이심에도 마지막까지 "할 수만 있다면 이 잔을 내게서 거두어 달라"고 기도하신 그 마음과, 또 기쁘게 지고 가실 마음이 모두 이해가 됩니다. 2,000년도 더 된 이 고대의 길이 광야 한가운데 나 있듯이, 아무것도 안 보이는 광야 한복판에서도 주님은 "내가 곧 길이요 진리요 생명"이라고 말씀하십니다. 이 길을 찾으셔야 합니다.

[English Script] Passion Week: Tuesday

It is the third day of Passion Week. On this day, Jesus spoke about the disputes between the Sadducees and the Pharisees. He gave various examples regarding the resurrection, remaining truly busy teaching until the very end. Until His final moment, the Lord resented no one. Even to the thief on the right side of the cross, He taught by saying, "Today you will be with me in Paradise." Seeing the Lord teach until the end, I believe we should follow that same path.

As Jesus was leaving the Jerusalem Temple and looking back at it, His disciples asked, "Isn't this temple magnificent?" He replied, "Not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down." When the disciples asked about the signs of the end of the age, the Lord went up to the Mount of Olives and spoke of the signs to come. He spoke of famines, wars, and earthquakes in various places, the appearance of false Christs, and declared that only after the Gospel is preached to all nations will the end come.

He spoke about the sun, moon, and stars falling, and about some being taken while others are left behind. The conclusion is that we only truly come to believe in Jesus when our own 'sun, moon, and stars' fall. When the stars of your life fall, do not grieve, but realize, "This is the time to believe in Jesus."

Fulfilling God’s Word and bringing it to completion ultimately happens through suffering. For those who suffer, living becomes ecstatic. We must understand the glory of the pain of the cross. It is through suffering that the heart that worships and relies on oneself as an idol is broken. Only through suffering do we finally seek and rely on God. Life is like a tree cut at the stump; we are heading toward death from the moment we are born. No matter how much worldly sap we pour into it—be it appearance or education—it is only temporary. We must prepare for eternal life from a young age. Then, this earth is no longer hell, but heaven.

Because we meet God through suffering, suffering fulfills God’s Word, and therefore, suffering is a blessing. Moving beyond just calling it a blessing, we should say, "Suffering makes life ecstatic."

Since ancient times, there has been a path in the wilderness where people walked. I believe Jesus walked this very path. Looking at the trail blazed through the desert wilderness, I reflect on what Jesus might have been thinking as He walked. His days on earth were numbered, yet people refused to listen, eventually leading to His crucifixion. Even as the Creator, He prayed, "If it is possible, take this cup from me," yet He was also willing to carry it joyfully. I feel I can understand both of those hearts now. Just as this ancient path, over 2,000 years old, remains in the middle of the wilderness, the Lord says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life," even in the midst of a barren desert where nothing is visible. You must find this path.
